LEGO Art Deco Stapler

This model is patterned after the 1937 Swingline Speed Stapler No. 3. This was the first stapler to use a swing-open top-loading design, a design that has remained nearly unchanged to this day.

Thinker

Thinker

Digging around in old files, I found a single photo of this build. This was my second ever comissioned piece, back around 2007.

It was 10pm. I was supposed to go to bed. 7 hours later, I finished building this 1:1 scale Brownie Hawkeye.

This is my first personal project since Iron Builder. Functions include a spring-loaded shutter button and pull-up bulb switch.

Brick Madness is nearing compleation!

Jason Wada designed the build plans for this logo, which will be deconstructed for the main intro. Then Todd Ronne, Jason and myself built it during just two crazy nights. Thanks guys, I had a blast!

The Amazing Painless Dr. King Schultz

Mister Candie, normally I would say "Auf wiedersehen," but since what "auf wiedersehen" actually means is "'till I see you again", and since I never wish to see you again, to you, sir, I say goodbye.

Iron Builder Trophy

Since I lost my Iron Builder battle with Pepa Quin, it is my duty to send him a trophy and my congratulations.

I choose a classic art deco text style because of Matt’s love of both typography and Warner Brothers.

Well played Matt, well played.

Iron Builder Behind the Scenes

Very few of my Iron Builder MOCs were what I would consider “finished” for real life viewing.

V&A Steamworks Electronik Motivator - Ivory Edition

I leave my basement unattended for a few days and this happens! I told Guy he’s not allowed in there, but he never listens. Thinks he’s “special” or something. Look at this abomination! Covered in tacky gold. Some of those things aren’t even LEGO!

This is my tenth build in my Iron Builder battle with Pepa Quin. The secret part is White Brick, Modified 2 x 3 x 2/3 Two Studs, Wing End. Each of us must produce builds using this piece until February 2nd, then one of us will be crowned the next Iron Builder.

Each build seems a drop in a never ending bucket. Time is only imaginary, fleeting, instantly gone.

“Cold” weather in California

I’ve been enjoying highs in the 60s and 70s this January in Fresno. However, that still didn’t keep my wife, my son and myself from all getting colds this past week. This is a tribute to our good friend the Kleenex.

LEGO Mystery Build Title

I would make a “Words With Friends” reference to show how up with the times I am. Except we’re not friends, Matt.

Tested comissioned this piece as a title for their LEGO Mystery Build segments, so I decided to give it the Iron Builder treatment.

This is my seventh build in my Iron Builder battle with Pepa Quin. The secret part is White Brick, Modified 2 x 3 x 2/3 Two Studs, Wing End. Each of us must produce builds using this piece until February 2nd, then one of us will be crowned the next Iron Builder.

Lunch?

When I first saw the photos of Matt’s LEGO room, I felt a little like the fly in this photo. But what if the fly is riddled with parasites? What then? Wait…

This is my first build in my Iron Builder battle with Pepa Quin. The secret part is White Brick, Modified 2 x 3 x 2/3 Two Studs, Wing End. Each of us must make produce builds using this piece until February 2nd, then one of us will be crowned the next Iron Builder.
